Doggie Fitness and Adventures will take your dog on an expedition to the beach for a long run or for a hike in the Ko'olau mountains. During your dogs adventure they will receive training, treats, socialization with other dogs, love, and plenty of exercise. Then after all that doggie fun they will receive a bath from their tour guide so they return home clean, smelling fresh, and exhausted from their day of adventure.
Just like with humans exercise is good for your dogs physical
body and spirit.
Exercise will:
- Help prevent obesity.
- Improves circulation.
- Keeps the heart strong and joints and ligaments lubricated and tendons
flexible.
- Keeps muscles in shape.
- Help eliminate boredom.
- Help eliminate behavioral problems.
- Doggie Adventures are lead by experienced professional animal trainers.
- Your dog will receive training on their adventure.
- Dogs receive more mental stimulation and environmental enrichment
on an adventure compared to a walk. Dogs are stimulated by excitement
and fun, just as we are.
- Your dog will receive professionally supervised socialization with
other dogs.
- It’s your dogs’ day to be a dog.
- Doggie Adventures are just more fun!
At Doggie Adventures and Training our top priorities are your dogs’ safety,
health, and fun. Your dog’s tour guides are highly trained animal
care professionals with an understanding of canine first aid. Dogs will
remain on a leash until their tour guide has trained your dog to come when
called. In addition to continual training Doggie Adventures and Training
is bonded and insured.
Doggie Adventures are for dogs that are non aggressive towards
other dogs. The behavioral assessment and screening will assess your dogs’ behavior
and determine if they can participate in these social adventures. If your
dog does not pass the screening we have individual adventures that can
be customized for your dog.
To keep your dogs adventure safe and personable there will be
1 tour guide for every 4 dogs.
All guides are experienced handlers and trainers. Our top priority
during the adventure is safety. All guides are trained in canine first
aid and body language. The lead guide has over 16 years of animal training
experience including dogs, dolphins, sea lions, penguins, killer whales,
walruses, birds, etc.
Running, jumping, and playing with other dogs is something that
we as humans, no matter how hard we try, cannot give our dog. It is very
common for your dog to be tired and maybe a little sore up to 3 days after
their adventure. Over time your dog will increase their conditioning and
fitness level.
Safety is our number one priority.
- Proof of vaccinations are required.
- Your dog must pass a behavior assessment and screening.
- Your dog must be free of fleas and ticks (dogs will be examined upon
pick up to ensure they do not have these little pests).
- You must complete and turn in a waiver and liability form.
- Select from the many packages we have available, or ask and we will
tailor an adventure just for you and your dog.
Dogs will receive training during their adventure. Your dogs’ tour
guides are professional trainers. As tour guides and trainers they will
expect your dog to behave, and with a little help, your dog will learn
many new behaviors with their new doggie friends.
This is a very popular option, we can design
a program just for
your dog.
Individual adventures include customized training and one-on-one time
with the tour guide, in addition to the opportunity to discuss with the
tour guide where you would like your dog to go on their adventure.
Due to our busy work schedules many dogs do not receive their
needed exercise. Because of this, many dogs become lethargic, bored, and
often overweight. Each adventure stresses physical activity. During your
dogs adventure they are encouraged to run, swim, hike, and play with other
dogs.
